Culture

Culture is nearly impossible to define. Both intangible and ever-present, it is everything that is all around us and in a constant state of change. Culture of course is everything that is constructed by a certain group of beings.  Culture is innate and every living thing from bacteria to primates, and of course humans. Culture is not static, but fluid. Perhaps culture could be best defined as a sense of identity, a sense of who we are, that the present is a link from a well defined past to a future crafted by our actions.

“Without memory there is no culture.  Without memory there would be no civilization, no society, no future”.   – Elie Wiesel
